Shrubs

Shrubs come in all shapes and sizes and can vary from small ground cover plants to large towering specimens. Some lose their leaves in winter, while others are evergreen. We grow a very wide range of shrubs within the Zoo for a variety of reasons. Some are of educational value, others are of conservation importance, while many are grown primarily for their attractive features such as flowers, leaves, bark or autumn colour.
