There are many events running throughout the day:
By road
Chester Zoo is easy to reach from the major motorway networks in the North of England. From the M56, Junction 14 or M53 Junction 12, follow the brown signs to Chester Zoo. The Zoo is also clearly signposted on the A41 Chester Road.
By public transport
From Bache Railway Station Chester:
Chester Zoo is only approx 2 miles from the station. Take the bus, First Service No.1, operating every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes on Bank Holiday Mondays and hourly on Sundays and Good Friday. Alternatively, take No.4, operating every hour, Monday to Saturday. All Merseyrail Train stations sell combined rail/bus/Zoo tickets.
From Liverpool, Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port & Cheshire Oaks:
Take the First Service No.1, operating every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes on Bank Holiday Mondays and hourly on Sundays and Good Friday. In addition, No.4 operates hourly, Monday to Saturday from Ellesmere Port and Cheshire Oaks, calling at the Zoo’s pedestrian entrance.
