  • Chester Zoo Tiger - Free Shuttle Bus - 30th Jul 2009

    Chester Zoo’s free shuttle bus service, nicknamed Tiger, was operated on a trial basis for the peak school holiday period. The service is currently suspended except for the weekend of 12th and 13th September. We will update our website when we re-introduce the free shuttle.

  • Pete Waterman gets birds eye view of the zoo - 17th Jul 2009

    Star-maker Pete Waterman gets VIP ticket to ride sky-train at Chester Zoo. The music world’s millionaire entrepreneur is one of Britain’s most famous railway enthusiasts and leapt at the chance of a ticket to ride on the much-loved Zoofari Railway. It’s a favourite zoo attraction, from which thousands of visitors a year enjoy panoramic views of the animal enclosures.

  • Cooling treats - 3rd Jul 2009

    Chester Zoo’s chimpanzees tuck into ice lollies on one of the hottest days of the year. The lollies, which are made of fruit and juice, have been given as a treat to a number of the animals including the Spectacled Bear, Black rhinos and the Red River Hogs.
