Welcome to the Kids' area of the Chester Zoo website!

We have lots of extra information here especially for children.

You can learn all about the Kids Attractions we have at Chester Zoo, not only do we have 7,000 animals for you to see we also have two play areas for Kids, the Fun Ark and the Ape Around Play Area. 

We also have Face Painting and you can also try out Pottery Painting too.*

Throughout the Zoo we have a team of Presenters giving Animal Talks  make sure you ask them lots of questions!

You can become a Junior member of Chester Zoo, once you have paid your subscription to the zoo you can have unlimited admission for a whole year plus there are lots of extra special events and activities exclusively for members including a special quarterly magazine with a special children’s pull out section. 

Chester Zoo is a conservation charity and we work on conservation projects both at the zoo and worldwide.  Our Big Cat Junior Saver helps fund some of these projects.  Save with Chester Zoo and help the Big Cats.

For that extra special birthday you could have your birthday party at Chester Zoo, bring your friends along and enjoy your party at Oakfield Manor before exploring the Zoo.
