Remembering the zoo in your will
To make sure our vital work will continue in the future, we need your help. By acting now, you can secure the future for generations to come. One way you can help us to continue our conservation work is to consider leaving a gift to Chester Zoo in your will. The gift costs you nothing during your lifetime but will give you the reassurance that those closest to you, and the cases you support, are provided for.
Making a will is one of the most important things you can do and it doesn’t have to be expensive. A solicitor can advise you on how to do this so your wishes are clear. If you have already made a will and have now decided to you want to include Chester Zoo as a beneficiary, it is quite easy to add a bequest. Your solicitor can advise you how to do this also.
We are always delighted and very grateful when Chester Zoo is remembered in a will. Please let us know about your intended gift and we will welcome you as a Lifetime Supporter. In recognition of your commitment, you will receive a certificate and a personal guided tour of the Zoo.
Memorials
Unfortunately we are unable to provide memorial benches onsite but we can allow ashes to be scattered on the garden areas (but not in the animal enclosures). All we ask in return is that a nominal donation is made to Chester Zoo to cover the costs of doing this.
Friends and family can also celebrate the life of a loved one through charitable donations to Chester Zoo. In Memory Giving allows the close family and friends of the deceased to donate to Chester Zoo, reflecting their life and charitable aims, and those remembering the person can donate whatever they can afford to support their cause. In Memory Giving ensures 100% of donations reach the charity. For more information click here.
