Some are hidden treasures, like the Sunken Garden and others bring to life the history of the zoo and Chester's Roman Heritage

As a registered charity, Chester Zoo exists to conserve rare and endangered species both in the zoo and in the wild. Our work here extends all over the world and here in Cheshire. By visiting the zoo, you are making a direct contribution to the conservation activity which means that the species you see in the zoo have a much greater chance of survival.
