NEW for 2007
In May 2007, our orang-utans moved to a new home, with unusual neighbours! Come and see our two youngsters, Budi and Utara, in their new tropical environment, with gibbons, and one of the world’s longest snakes, the Reticulated Python.
Say ‘hello’ to Patna, a Greater One-horned Rhinoceros, who shares his enclosure with other animals from Asia. Enjoy an ice-cream next to a wallowing rhino!
The most recent arrival at Chester Zoo is Kepala, a male Sumatran Tiger. He lives with Khali and Rhani, two female tigers. If your preference is for Lions, then our pair of Asian Lions will fascinate you. In ‘Spirit of the Jaguar’ you can meet our beautiful Jaguars, along with other animals including Leaf-Cutter Ants, the busiest animals that live at the Zoo!
