Lockers, food, drinks and gifts

Lockers
We know that young children don’t always want to carry their belongings and lunches around so we have provided a number of lockers close to the Main Entrance of the Zoo.  These are large and will hold a number of packed lunches.  Lockers cost £1.00 to hire with a £5.00 deposit refundable on the return of the key.  Just ask at Guest Services for further information.

Food and Drink
No day out is complete without refreshments!  We have a number of catering outlets selling hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.  We also have a lunchbox ordering service where you can order a picnic lunch for £3.95 or you can pre-purchase luncheon vouchers so that your students can make their own choice of food from our extensive hot and cold selection.  Luncheon vouchers start at a minimum of £5.00.

There are also lots of picnic areas around the Zoo if you prefer to bring your own food.  For those rainy days, we have an indoor picnic area near to the Education Centre.  For further undercover ideas please speak to our Discovery and Learning Division on 01244 650205 or 01244 389444.

We regret that there is no booking facility on any of our picnic areas.

Gift Shop
Most visits to the Zoo end with a call into the gift shop for a souvenir but to make life easier for you it’s possible to pre-order Goody Bags.  This can be done by telephoning our Retail Department on 01244 389465.  They will discuss with you price and content of the bags.
