Prices and Payments

Our educational rates are offered to educational establishments on weekdays during Cheshire West and Chester term time. Pre-booking is essential to qualify for the educational rates.

We operate a two tier pricing structure: Off Peak which runs throughout the autumn and spring terms; and Peak which runs during the summer terms.

Taking advantage of our Off Peak rates means visiting when the zoo is less busy, which can be beneficial to schools. If you are interested in our Discovery Programmmes, it's also easier to book the sessions on the dates and at the times you prefer if you visit Off Peak, although we still advise early booking.

We also offer discounted rates on the Monorail and Waterbus if these are pre-booked. Just speak to our Education team and let them know at the time of booking.

   

Peak – Summer Term 2012

16th April to 20th July 2012

(Excluding 4th June to 8th June 2012)

- Children aged 2 and under:                             Free of charge

- Pre-school to Year 10 inclusive:                       £9.45

- Years 11 upwards                                            £10.45

Accompanying Adults

- With Pre-School to Year 3:       One adult free with every 5 paying children

- With Years 4 to 6:                     One adult free with every 10 paying pupils

- With Years 7 upwards:             One adult free with every 15 paying students

- Additional Adults:                        £11.45

Please note that our free adult ratios are in line with the recommended guidelines of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

 

Discovery Programmes

Discovery Programmes are charged per session, as follows:

£25.00 for the first session booked.

£20.00 for subsequent sessions booked for the same day.

Please note: we reserve the right to charge for the Discovery Programmes if these are cancelled and we are unable to re-fill the sessions.

Payment

When you phone to make your educational booking, our staff will ask how you want to pay.  There are various options:

Pre-pay by cheque or card
If you choose this option, you must pay 14 days in advance of your visit to enable us to send your tickets to you. This pre-payment method offers you the opportunity of being fast tracked into the Zoo. Please note that pre-paid tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Pay on the day by cash, cheque or card
With this option, you pay the admission fee for the number in your party which attends the Zoo on the day, regardless of the number booked in.

Request to be invoiced after your visit
An invoice will be generated by our Accounts Department and will be emailed or posted to you a couple of days following your visit. With this option, you will be invoiced for the admission fee of the number which attends the Zoo on the day, regardless of the number booked in.
