Around the World at Chester Zoo

Many endangered species are found on islands.

Follow the trail of famous ocean voyagers in this orienteering activity. Discover some of our fascinating animals and the islands they inhabit as you navigate your way around the Zoo.

• Explorer trail of your choice (see below)
• Clipboards
• Pens or pencils
• Camera

Things to do in school afterwards: use maps to locate the islands, match the animals to the islands in a classroom display, and then plot a voyage around the world that an Explorer would take to visit the islands.
