From the critically endangered Visayan warty pig, to the extraordinary heights of our giraffe herd, we're lucky enough to care for some amazing hoofed animals.
Hoof animals are generally herbivorous mammals and often live in large herds. They often have huge horns, which are used by males in combat with other males of the same species during the mating season. Many hoofed animal species have evolved to run at great speed in order to escape from predators.
We have over twenty species of hoofed animals, including the Visayan warty pig, which has just 200 left in the wild.
