I took this photo when Gerald and Lee Durrell came to the zoo on 21 October 1987. There was, I remember, a Members' Lunch, and the opportunity to meet them before they gave a talk that evening. I managed to get my way pass the pack of press photographers to take this image.
If you look closely you will notice that Lee Durrell had to turn the pendant that she was wearing around to the back, because the young orangutan was showing too much interest in it.
