Solar Eclipse at the Zoo

By Victoria Haddock

I must have only been four, yet I can still remember standing on the Fountain Lawn when the Sun slowly went behind the Moon and everything went dark. What I remember most vividly was how quiet all of the animals became which was really strange as they had been really noisy up until that point. When the eclipse ended it was as if nothing had happened and all the animals went back to their routine. This memory will stick with me forever I think because of the event that took place but also because I was there on a visit with my Grandparents.
