Watch the royal visit highlights in HD

royal-visit-115-198x143Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh opened Chester Zoo’s £2m gateway to conservation with the unveiling of the Diamond Jubilee Quarter on May 17th 2012.

The new main entrance - the Diamond Jubilee Quarter - is the first ever public space in our 80-year history and was officially opened by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh on May 17.

During their visit, the royal couple were given a tour of the zoo, met key zoo staff and representatives from the zoo's in-field conservation work around the world.
