We’re easy to reach by train as we're only a couple of miles from Chester station. And now you can save on your travel and zoo admission with our Combination Tickets.

Combination ticket

Buy a combination ticket from your local train station and it will include your rail travel, return bus link from Chester station to the zoo AND your zoo admission in one discounted price. 

Total price for combination tickets

  • Adult = Your rail ticket + £15.50
  • Senior = Your rail ticket + £14.00
  • Child (5-15) = Your rail ticket + £12.50 
  • Child (3 - 4) = Your rail ticket + £10.50
  • Infant (aged 2 and under) = FREE

 

The combination ticket must be bought over the counter (or on the train) at the same time as your train fare. You can buy it separately, but you'll need to show a valid rail ticket for that day.

The zoo bus link leaves Chester Station from stop S5 (opposite the station) every 12 minutes from 9.24am from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays the bus leaves the station at 9.35am then every 15 minutes throughout the day.

Return buses to the station leave the Chester Zoo Park and Ride site every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday (last bus leaves 6.12pm) and every 15 minutes on Sundays (last bus leaves 6pm).

The Chester Zoo bus link will stop at the Upton Park and Ride, which is a short walk to the zoo main entrance.
