We’re easy to reach by train as we're only a couple of miles from Chester station. And now you can save on your travel and zoo admission with our new Chester Zoo Combination Ticket.

You can now buy a combination ticket from your local train station that includes your rail travel, return bus link from the station to the zoo and your zoo admission in one discounted price.
Prices for the bus and zoo admission ticket
• Adult - Your rail ticket + £13.85
• Senior - Your rail ticket + £12.35
• Child (5-15) - Your rail ticket + £10.95
• Child (3 - 4) - Your rail ticket + £9.65
The combination ticket must be bought over the counter (or on the train) at the same time as your train fare. You can buy it separately, but you'll need to show a valid rail ticket for that day.
The zoo bus link leaves Chester Station from stop S5 (opposite the station) every 12 minutes from 9.24am from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays the bus leaves the station at 9.35am then every 15 minutes throughout the day.
Return buses to the station leave the Chester Zoo park and ride site every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday (last bus leaves 6.12pm) and every 15 minutes on Sundays (last bus leaves 6pm).
From Bache station
You can get to Bache on Merseyrail’s Chester–Liverpool line. The trains run every 15 minutes at peak times from Liverpool, Birkenhead and Chester.
When you get to Bache, take the First Bus service No. 1 from outside the station to our main entrance. (Every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes on Bank Holidays, and every hour on Sundays.)

Merseyrail Combination Ticket
Take advantage of the Mersey Rail Combination Ticket which includes discounted rail and bus travel to Bache station, as well as admission to the zoo. Tickets cost:
- £18.70 for adults
- £15 for students
- £14 for children (3-15 years old)
