Spring Lecture: The Ecuador Amazon parrot with Dr Mark Pilgrim

This series of lectures is an opportunity to meet our experts in an informal setting to hear more about the conservation work taking place all over the world.

Director General of Chester Zoo, Mark Pilgrim will talk about his PhD and his discoveries regarding the Ecuadorian Amazon parrot.

Mark recently led a team of ten staff from Chester Zoo to the Cerro Blanco forest in Ecuador to link up with our conservation partners Pro Bosque Fundacion.

The team explored the 6000 hectare forest and survey the numbers of Ecuador Amazon parrots, to better understand this charismatic bird that is under threat of extinction.

Join us for this free talk and learn all about the expedition and our findings.
