Gift Tickets FAQs

What is a gift ticket?
A gift ticket is a great way to buy a perfectly presented gift entry to the zoo ready to give straight to your friends or family.  Your gift ticket comes in its own gift wallet with a gift message and everything you need to know about using your voucher.

When can the gift tickets be used?
Gift tickets can be used once and are valid for up to 12 months from the day that they are purchased.  The only days that they cannot be used are Christmas Day and Boxing Day as the zoo is closed.

Can I get a refund on the ticket?
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have a right to cancel your order and or return an item purchased through the Chester Zoo online shop within 7 (seven) days of delivery for any reason.  Chester Zoo will refund your payment card with both the item cost and original posting and packaging cost within a reasonable period of time.  Unfortunately Chester Zoo is not able to refund the cost of return postage and packaging.  Please note this does not include the right to return personalised items and admission tickets.  A refund can only be made to the purchaser on the same card originally used for payment. 

When will the gift ticket be dispatched?
Your gift ticket will be dispatched within 3-5 working days from the date of purchase.
