Leave a gift in your Will
We are Chester Zoo and yes, we are the UK’s number one zoo, but we're not just about the 20,000 extraordinary animals we look after or the 125 acres of award-winning gardens.
As well as giving our guests an unforgettable and inspirational day out, we are constantly working hard to find new ways to do conservation. It’s not just about the work we do here in the UK, but the ways that we act for wildlife all over the world. Our job is only going to get harder in the future with so many pressures on the environment.
If, like us, you care about nature then join us and do your bit to act for wildlife.
Remember Chester Zoo
One way that can help us to continue our work is to consider leaving a gift to Chester Zoo in your will. That way, future generations can have the same wonderful experiences and be inspired by Chester Zoo and its animals and plants.
If you don’t already have a will, it needn’t be a complicated or expensive process but it is a very important thing to do. And if you already have your will sorted, it’s very simple to add minor additions, through something called a codicil. A good solicitor will guide you through the entire process as smoothly as possible, and many do fixed rates so you know the costs up front.

Remember a Charity Week
12 - 18 September 2016
Remember a Charity Week is an annual awareness week designed to encourage people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their will, once family and friends have been looked after. This year we have joined the nation Remember a Charity campaign, which has 140 of the UK's favourite charities as members.
In support of this initiative we're working in partnership with Chester based law firm Hillyer Mckeown.
Want to find out more or have a question you'd like answered?
Please contact our Development team on 01244 650229 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by joining us on Friday 16 September in Bembe Coffee Shop between 2-4pm for an informal chat and an opportunity to meet Ruth Heap, Head of Wills, Trusts and Estates at Hillyer McKeown LLP.
Remembering Loved Ones at Chester Zoo
Chester Zoo has been a backdrop for wonderful family memories, so it’s no surprise that we get many requests around remembrance and memorial options on site. We can help with enquiries about scattering ashes within the zoo grounds or memorial opportunities available such as the Giving Tree.
Please get in touch by calling 01244 650292 or by emailing email@example.com.
