What do a mobile phone and a printer cartridge have in common? They can both be recycled to help raise money for Chester Zoo!

It’s simple!  Just follow these three easy steps…
1. Request a FREE recycling envelope(s) from the Development Office at Chester Zoo, by contacting 01244 650229 or development@chesterzoo.org.
2. Put your phone or inkjet cartridge into one of our freepost envelopes.
3. Send the envelope directly to our recycler and they will send us the money for our charity in return.
If you have large quantities of phones or cartridges for recycling please contact Recycling Appeal direct on 08451 30 20 10 and quote the Chester Zoo reference number VEN0087104.  They will then arrange a collection for you free of charge.

More than 30 million inkjet cartridges are dumped each year in the UK (1800 tonnes) the same weight as 18 Blue Whales.
Estimates state that close to 90 million phones are hiding in drawers and cupboards across the UK (11250 tonnes) - equivalent to more than 30 Boeing 747s.
