Sleepover FAQs

Q. Will there be running water provided?

A. There will not be running water, however we will provide 2 litres of bottled water per person and there will be hot water available in the morning for hot drinks.

Q. Can we use stoves on the campsite?

A. Camp stoves and fires will not be allowed on the campsite, but we will be providing hot water, tea, coffee, milk and sugar for hot drinks in the morning.

Q. Can we leave our car parked in the field whilst we go to the festival?

A. If you arrive prior to the camping event (4pm) on the Saturday, you will have to park in the main zoo carpark and move your car at 4pm. However, if you wish to stay on Sunday for the festival or to go into the zoo, you will be able to leave your vehicle at the campsite; however we will require you to take down any tents before you go to the festival.

Q. What if I need to leave early/in the night in an emergency?

A. First Aid trained staff will be on hand throughout the event and overnight if there are any incidences or if anyone needs to leave. The zoo gates will be locked for security reasons, and so staff will need to be notified if you do need to leave. Security staff will also be on hand in case of any incidences.

Q. What is the maximum group size we are allowed?

A. There is no restriction on the number of people that you are able to book on, however we do require a minimum of 1 adult and 1 child per booking for the booking to be valid.

Q. Will food be included in the cost?

A. An evening meal, hot chocolate & biscuit plus breakfast will be included in the cost of your ticket. If you would like to bring any further food and drink, that is also not a problem.

Q. What is the age of a child? Can I bring my under 1?

A. The child ticket will be for anyone between the age of 1 and 17. Under 1s will be allowed in for free. Activities will be ideally suited for those between 5 and 11 years of age.

Q. Is the site safe?

A. The main activities will be based around our festival and nature reserve sites. This does mean there will be areas with open water and large unattended field areas. All children should be supervised at all times whilst on site. Security will be available at all times and the zoo site, including the car parks are locked in the evening.
