Celebrate World Tomistoma Day with us

Friday 5 August 2016

  • Sunda gharial
  • Reptiles

Join us on Friday 5 August to celebrate World Tomistoma Day!

Our Zoo Ranger team will be talking all things Tomistoma (otherwise known as a false gharial, a species of crocodile to you and me!) at the Manado Town Permit Office in Islands.

This is a FREE drop-in session (normal zoo admission applies).

Win a private view of feeding time

To celebrate the world’s first Tomistoma day, we are offering you the chance to win an exclusive private view of feeding time.

To enter this competition, drop by the Permit Office in Manado Town (Islands), and guess the combined weight of our crocs (when they arrived last year).

You can enter this competition between 1pm and 3.30pm on Friday 5 August.

The competition is free to enter and we will be announcing the winner at 4pm.

Entries nearest to the combined weight will be invited to view feeding time, which will take place at 6pm when the zoo is closed.

No alternative prize available.
