Our Projects in Africa
We work across Africa, from the savannahs of Kenya, home to the Critically Endangered black rhino, to the dense montane forests of Nigeria, home to the Endangered Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee.
With ecosystems ranging from vast savannah to rich tropical rainforests, the biodiversity of the world’s second largest continent is varied and unique. However, the increasing human population along with unsustainable development and poverty is severely impacting the unique species found here.
Alleviating the pressures of direct exploitation on species and habitats is our key priority. Alongside national and international partners, we lead and support projects to protect species from poaching in the wild and use our unique skills to assist in research and engage communities in conservation.
