We’ve recruited 11 young people aged 18 to 25 to join the first UK zoo Youth Board to help shape their future direction and engage with teenagers and young adults.
From tattoo artists and engineers, to students studying animal-related degrees, the Youth Board is made up of diverse young professionals and students who all have one mission, to help prevent extinction.
They sit directly under the zoo’s board of trustees, and meet six times a year to challenge the zoo and have their own mentor from the zoo’s senior management team to develop their leadership skills.
Join the board!
We have EXCITING opportunities for ambitious, passionate and enthusiastic young people that would love to get involved in making positive changes in the zoo and have an impact on the future of conservation.
MEET OUR YOUTH BOARD MEMBERS at our open panel event, on Tuesday 22 September at 7pm, to find out more about what they do, how they do it and what they love about being on the Chester Zoo Youth Board!
Would you like to be a voice for young people? We are currently RECRUITING for 3 young people, aged 18 – 25 years old, to join our Youth Board on a voluntary basis.
