KS3 Workshops

Science and careers at Chester Zoo

We have all sorts of jobs at Chester Zoo…

zoo keepers and vets are normally the first that spring to mind, but we also have curators, scientists, field workers, educators, retailers, caterers, buyers, accountants, marketing managers, website builders, maintenance… the list goes on!

In this workshop, your students will first explore a range of jobs, but then focus on some that need and use science in different ways. We’ll discuss qualifications, skills and experiences and also look at the recruitment process, where your students will take an active part in an interview!

This workshop is suitable for groups studying science in the workplace or those about to choose their GCSE subjects and looking for careers advice.
