An Introduction to Studbook Management

As part of our Careers in Conservation event we are holding a range of workshops to introduce you to a wide range of conservation related skills.

Studbooks are an important element of conservation at Chester Zoo and we work with collections across the world to ensure we manage species to prevent extinction. This workshop will introduce what studbooks are, how we use them at Chester Zoo and how they aid global conservation.

This workshop is aimed at students 17+ who may already be studying an animal, conservation or zoology linked course and want to find out more about species management in zoos.
