Join us over three days for an exciting introduction into ecology and field skills, designed for Junior Conservationists who want to explore PRACTICAL skills in conservation.

Over three sessions you’ll be introduced to a range of skills used by our expert ecologists and field teams and will have to the ability to get hands-on as we monitor the wildlife in our nature reserve.

Who is it for? Junior Conservationist Skills Courses are for young people who are in secondary school years 7-9. Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. The school year runs 1 September – 31 August.

What’s included? 3 morning sessions: 10.30am – 12.30pm

Our Junior Conservationist Skills Courses do not include any hands-on contact with any of the animals in the zoo, or behind-the-scenes access to any keeper areas.
