Are you in school years 4-6? Do you LOVE animals and want to see how they live and adapt to the world around them? Are you a member of the zoo? If so, Junior Rangers would be PERFECT for you!
We’ll be talking about some of the most misunderstood creatures in the zoo and around the world.
Over the five weeks we will unravel the misconceptions about bats, finding out what makes bugs amazing, exploring the mysteries around lemurs, learning more about extinct animals and peeking into the mysterious world of mythical beasts!
Please note: This block may not be suitable for participants with a fear of free flying bats or butterflies*
A typical junior rangers may look like this (please note topics vary):
10:30am – drop off at Joseph Banks room
10:45am – introduction to topic
11am – visit and learn about one of our amazing species in the zoo
11:30am – test your knowledge with an animal quiz
11:45am – final questions and feedback
12pm – pick up
Who is it for?
Our junior members in primary school years 4-6. Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. The school year runs from 1 September – 31 August.
What is included?
5 sessions on Sunday mornings or Sunday afternoons.
Lunch is not included
Please note: to ensure animal and public safety, none of our junior ranger camps include access to behind the scenes areas, and we will not be handling any of the animals that live here at the zoo.
