Discover the amazing animals, wonderful habitats, and the remarkable conservation work taking place all around the world, and here at Chester Zoo. All this learning happens through a range of fun science themed activities around the zoo.
A typical Mini Ranger Science Explorer Camp may look like this (topics and timings may vary):
10:30am – Drop off at the main entrance
10:45am – Introduction to Science Explorer Camp
11am – Visit a species in the zoo to learn about it
11:30am – Animal quiz or activity
11:45am – Feedback and questions
12pm – Zoo tour on the way back to main entrance, which can include scavenger hunt, tour, or interactive story
12.30pm – Pick up at main entrance
The timetables and activities will be flexible according to the group’s needs.
Who is it for? Primary school years 1 – 3. Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. The school year runs from 1 September – 31 August.
