This two day course is designed for EDUCATORS who deliver further education and school (Edexcel and City & Guilds) courses.
The topics have been carefully chosen to meet the awarding body requirements and ensure that teaching staff have the most up to date information in regards to all aspects of working in a zoological collection.
Topics covered include:
- Law and ethics
- Conservation education
- Zoo science
- Volunteer management
- Interpretation design
- Records and studbooks
- Business management in zoos
You’ll also get the opportunity to meet some of our zoo staff and take part in guided tours around key areas of the zoo. These will include our beautiful walkthrough habitats and newly designed areas to aid in the CPD of education staff.
Please note: No direct animal contact takes place during our courses.
