Join our Zoo Rangers to find out more about the wonderful world of butterflies and moths. We’ll be taking a closer look at the native butterflies and moths you can find around the zoo in addition to the tropical species that live in our Butterfly House.
A typical “introduction to” course may look like this (please note topics vary):
2pm – drop off at Joseph banks room
2:15pm – introduction to topic
2:35pm – talk from keeper/scientist
2:55pm – activity in zoo
3:45pm – final questions and feedback
4pm – pick up
Who is it for?
Young people in secondary school years 10-12. Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. The school year runs from 1 September – 31 August.
What is included?
2 hours of activities in the zoo.
Our introduction to course does not include any hand-on contact with any of the animals in the zoo, or behind-the-scenes access to any keeper areas.
