Join us on our exciting animal behaviour skills course where you will get an in depth look into all things animal behaviour for young people in school years 10-12.

Every Saturday for three weeks you will join our experts for an in depth look at animal behaviour and how we care for different species. This course will involve researching and planning your very own behavioural study, including elements of data collection.

If you’re someone who is thinking about a future career in animal behaviour then this is the course for you!

Gain valuable knowledge in animal behaviour and learn about what it takes to have a career in animal behaviour and conservation. By the end of the third and final week, you’ll have created your very own behavioural study, and had the opportunity to present your findings to other participants of the skills course, as well as our zoo experts!

Young conservationists attending our skills courses will compete their own mini project to practice their new skills.

Our skills course does not include any hands on contact with any of the animals in the zoo, or behind-the-scenes access to any keeper areas. This skills course is for your people who are in school years 10-12 at the time of the event running.

Take a look at our events page to discover other events we have on offer which are suitable for a variety of ages.

OUR TEAM OF EXPERTS WORK IN SIX REGIONS AROUND THE GLOBE – REPRESENTING SOME OF THE PLANET’S MOST BIODIVERSE HABITATS. Discover more about our SCIENCE AND CONSERVATION work.
