Into the Night is back for 2023 with tickets from as little as £10!

Join us for fantastic family evenings on select dates in June & July 4pm – 9pm. Discover then zoo as the sun goes down and enjoy thrilling live entertainment, special guest appearances and delicious food and drink.

The Luna Cinema

For the first time ever, we are mixing penguins and popcorn for three exclusive nights this August with The Luna Cinema!
We’ll be screening: Grease (PG), Top Gun: Maverick (12A)  and The Greatest Showman (PG).
With your ticket, you can also explore the zoo from 3pm, including our immersive exhibition Planet Shark: Predator or Prey!

Beat the crowds and explore our brand new immersive exhibition Planet Shark: Predator or Prey during your evening at the zoo. Leave the outside world behind as you dive into the mysterious underwater world of sharks – without getting your feet wet!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’m a member, do I get discounted tickets?

As this is a special event outside of our usual opening hours members and non-members pay the same price. Events like Into The Night help us to raise valuable funds to enable Chester Zoo to continue to invest in our mission and the zoo. We really appreciate your support.

What are the parking arrangements? 

There is ample FREE parking at the main entrance to the zoo.

What is the best way to get to Chester Zoo?

You can find all the directions and transport options to the zoo here.

What are the opening and closing times for this event?

Into The Night evenings will start at 4pm and finish at 9pm. Animal houses will close at 8pm.

If you’re visiting the zoo during the day you’ll need to go back to the main entrance at 4pm to collect your wristband. Remember, you’ll need to bring your separate Into The Night booking with you to re-enter the zoo. Please ensure you have bought a separate zoo admission ticket, or you have a valid member’s card if you want to visit during the day – your Into The Night ticket will only grant access for the evening event.

Do I have to book a time slot?

Into The Night does not operate on a time slot basis. Your ticket will allow you entry into the event from 4pm onwards. Please note, final entry will be at 8pm for event.

How much are tickets?

Into The Night costs £16 for adults and £10 for children.

Children under the age of 2 years old and carers come free, but please remember to book them a ticket. If you’re visiting with a free carer please bring proof of entitlement with you when you visit. This can be a PIP Letter or Blue Badge. Thanks!

How will I receive tickets?

If you book online then you’ll receive an email from us with your booking confirmation attached. Bring this booking confirmation with you on the evening of your visit to get entry to the zoo for Into The Night.

Can I bring my own food?

We’ll have lots of delicious food and drink options available to buy on the night but you are more than welcome to bring your own if you would prefer to.

We just ask that you don’t bring any alcohol to the zoo with you.
