The Tamworth pigs were new arrivals at the zoo and were being temporarily housed on one of the paddocks in the Giraffe section. Trying to move them to the recently-completed Piggery at the Children’s Farm proved to be an hilarious experience for all concerned! Tim Rowlands, a keeper at the time (now curator of mammals), was involved with rounding up the two young pigs and herding them across the zoo to their new home.
