Winning not just one, but two awards from Taste Cheshire for The Oakfield was outstanding. To win these awards not even one year into opening, lets us know we are on the right track and our visitors appreciate and enjoy the bespoke experience we are creating. A lot of hard work and hours have gone into making The Oakfield a now award-winning pub and we are all very proud of the team.

The spectacular win made for an unforgettable night as the team’s hard-work, passion and dedication to their guests was recognised at the prestigious event.
Former family home of Chester Zoo founder, George Mottershead, the grade II listed building has been lovingly restored to offer visitors a wonderfully warm welcome and a freshly prepared, seasonal menu bursting with flavour and flair. Diners can enjoy locally sourced food in the Motterheads’ old library or head to the garden room to appreciate the award-winning garden surroundings.

The Oakfield team have worked extremely hard since opening to provide a top quality experience for zoo visitors, with outstanding service and delicious meals, and it has really paid off! Well done to the whole team for this fantastic achievement, and we look forward to seeing The Oakfield continue to flourish.
