As part of our Wildlife Connections project we’ve been working closely with a number of different community groups across Chester, Flintshire, Cheshire and the Wirral; inviting them to attend a series of free workshops led by experts from the zoo and our conservation partners. The workshops aim to help them develop their skills and provide them with the know-how in a number of different areas, including: planting for wildlife, what they can do to help birds, toads and hedgehogs, wildlife recording and activities they can do with their group to help wildlife.

We caught up with Wildlife Champion, Judith Hancock from 1st Upton Brownies, about the actions they’ve been taking after participating in our Wildlife Connections champion course. She tells more below:

Our Wildlife Connections campaign has been shortlisted for a National Lottery Good Causes Award and we need your support to be crowned winners! Please vote for us and support the work we’ve been doing to protect our precious wildlife, here
