We worked with the RSA to bring together people who are passionate about incorporating conservation and education, and creating conservationists of the future.

The zoo’s education experts and colleagues from the RSA Innovative Education Network, joined the Ignite Teaching School Alliance and the University of Manchester for an evening of debate and a ‘big education conversation’.

Experts gathered to discuss how to empower change through partnership, and what happens when schools employ creative pedagogies to empower their pupils and staff to take an active role in shaping the future of our planet.

As a leading conservation and education charity, we are passionate about equipping young people with the skills and knowledge to tackle the environmental challenges wildlife face. Head of Conservation Education & Engagement at Chester Zoo, Charlotte Smith, published an open letter to call upon the future political party leaders to embed conservation action into the curriculum of all schools in the UK.
