An investigative post-mortem is taking place to help us better understand what exactly happened and to find out the cause of death. Once we have the results we will be able to have a much clearer idea as to what caused a turn in health for the group.
Pallas’s cats are highly threatened, with only 15,000 remaining in the wild, so our thoughts are very much with our team who have cared for them day to day since they arrived in March.
We hope that, with the answers provided by the post-mortem, we can learn more about the species.
