We’re very excited to be able to offer 2022 dates for our popular ‘ZOO KEEPER FOR A DAY’ experiences again!
Please be aware that we have limited spaces available due to many dates having been transferred as a result of the pandemic. As always spaces will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis and our primate staff will endeavour to answer all calls as swiftly as possible. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Ever fancied mucking in (or mucking out) with a real-life zoo keeping team? Well now’s your chance!
We’re one of the only zoos in the UK that offers a one-to-one personal keeper day working with an animal section of your choice. You can choose from a range of different animals sections to look after, including some of the world’s most endangered species.
Working alongside our expert keepers, you’ll learn lots of fascinating animal facts and learn what a day in the life of a keeper truly involves!
The day begins at 8am and finishes at 5pm. You’ll get involved in every part of the keeper’s day, from preparing food to feeding and cleaning out. Plus, whatever surprises may come along…
Our Keeper Days are only held on Wednesdays. Bookings and payments must be taken over the phone. The day begins at 8am and finishes at 5pm with tea breaks and lunch included. You’ll also get a signed certificate in a presentation pack and a gift to remember your special day.
Cost: Full day experience from £250 – 280 per person.
Over 18s only.
All the money we raise through this scheme goes to support our wide range of conservation work at the zoo and around the world. Right now we have projects running in over 100 countries. So your day as a keeper will be making a difference to worldwide conservation too!
