The elephant herd at Chester Zoo are really special to us and our visitors. This experience will give you the opportunity to interact with our elephants by hosing them down PLUS you’ll give our elephants an experience that they love too!
You may have seen our elephants frolicking around in their pool – they love nothing more than taking a dip and splashing around in water on a warm summer’s day.
This is a chance to meet our expert elephant keepers and get a special experience with our elephants – with the help of a water hose! You’ll also discover more about the work of our keepers and the incredible work our teams are doing to protect this species from extinction.

Will last approximately 45 mins with approximately 20 mins spent with the animals.
The chance to hose down the elephants from a washing station.
The opportunity to learn about these highly intelligent animals and ask our Keepers any questions you may have.

The Experience is available for adults aged 18 years and over.
Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with epilepsy; relevant phobias or known allergies; mobility issues, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved – contact Chester Zoo before purchasing.
