Enter our AMAZING Fruit Bat Forest with one of our expert bat keepers and see our bats in a totally different light!
This once-in-a-lifetime experience gives you the chance to HAND-FEED our Seba’s short-tailed fruit bats their favourite meal!
These brilliant bats are frugivores, meaning their diet consists mostly of fruit. You’ll be feeding them a ripe banana, which is a delicious treat for a fruit bat!
While you’re feeding the bats, our highly knowledgeable keeper will tell you all about this incredible species and the work we do to protect bats in the wild. If you enjoy visiting our Fruit Bat Forest, this interactive experience will take things to the next level – bringing you closer to our bats than ever before.
There’ll be lots of opportunities to ask the keeper all your questions and you’ll also leave with an exclusive gift, a personalised certificate and memories to last a lifetime!
Our bats are nocturnal, which is why our Fruit Bat Forest habitat is plunged into darkness. But don’t worry – you’ll be given your own handheld red light to illuminate all the action. This is practically invisible to the bats, but will give you a perfect view of them as they fly around you and feed on the banana.
Will last approximately 45 minutes in total, with approximately 20 minutes spent feeding the bats.
The chance to get up close to the residents of Fruit Bat Forest.
The opportunity to learn about these fascinating animals and ask our keepers any questions you may have.
Exclusive gift and experience certificate.
