Become a zoo VIP and join our expert keepers on an extra special tour of our reptile and bug habitats where you’ll meet some of the world’s most endangered species.
Bring a friend, because this unique experience is for two! Lay scent trails for our Komodo dragons, bathe our Radiated tortoises, visit our chameleons in their Madagascan habitat and meet our bug residents, together!
You’ll go behind the scenes to learn about some of our rarest off show species and our global conservation projects which help to protect them.
This exclusive experience will be a day to remember, and you’ll have a lasting effect on wildlife because all the money raised through our experiences goes to support our wide range of conservation work around the world.

Get up close and help our keepers look after our Komodo dragons, tortoises and lizards.
Meet the residents of our bug habitats with exclusive behind the scene access.

Terms and conditions
Experience includes admission for the participants only.
The experience is available for adults and children aged 12 years old and over, providing that at least one participant is over the age of 18.
As this experience takes place behind the scenes it is not suitable for spectators to come along and watch you take part.
Regrettably, certain guests will be unable to take part including people with relevant phobias or known allergies, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved – contact Chester Zoo before purchasing.
Many of our animal habitats are very warm, so please bring a bottle of water with you, which can be filled up at Adventure HQ before your experience starts.
