Getting Here By Foot Or Bike
TRAVELLING BY FOOT
Pedestrians can access the main entrance to the zoo by using the public bridlepath from Flag Lane North. If you’re walking from home, from the bus stop or from Bache train station then there is a short cut to our main entrance using the public bridle path on Flag Lane North.
You’ll find walking directions via the bridle path here – just type in your starting point to find the quickest route.
TRAVELLING BY BIKE
It’s healthy for you AND good for the environment – plus, you get 15% off your zoo tickets!
We’re so keen on green travel that we offer a 15% discount for cyclists. Just bring this voucher with you when you cycle to the zoo and hand it to us when you buy your tickets. We’ve got plenty of cycle racks at the main entrance too.
The Chester ‘Pink Route’ takes you from the city centre to our main entrance – or you can take the ‘Brown Route’ along the canal. Both routes can be found on this PDF. Or you can plan a cycle route using this online tool from the Chester Cycling Campaign.
