PRICES & PAYMENTS

Our educational rates are offered to educational establishments on weekdays during Cheshire West and Chester term time. Pre-booking is essential to qualify for the educational rates.

Booking as early as possible will help ensure we can accommodate your visit and that you are able to book the dates and times you require. Early booking is especially advised if you would like to book one of our curriculum linked workshops.

Junior Members and Blue Peter badge holders

We’re really happy for Junior Members to come along on school visits. They’ll be admitted to the zoo free of charge but they’ll need to bring their membership cards with them. Junior Members aren’t included when we calculate how many free adults you’re entitled to.

Please note that we don’t accept Blue Peter badges.

Workshops

Our workshops cost £28 per session and we can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 pupils in each workshop. In a couple of our Out and About sessions, we take a maximum of 15 students. You can have a chat with our Education team when you’re booking to find out more about our workshops.  We have the potential to run four workshops at one time and 16 over the course of the day.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge for booked workshops if these are cancelled and we’re unable to re-fill the sessions.

To book an educational trip please see the booking your visit page.

Payment

When you phone to make your educational booking, our staff will ask how you want to pay.  There are various options:

Pre-pay by cheque or card
If you choose this option, please note that pre-paid tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any additions to your party on the day will also need to be paid for in cash.

Pay on the day by cash, cheque or card
With this option, you pay the admission fee for the number in your party which attends the zoo on the day, regardless of the number booked in.

Request to be invoiced after your visit
An invoice will be generated by our Accounts Department and will be emailed or posted to you a couple of days following your visit. With this option, you will be invoiced for the admission fee of the number which attends the zoo on the day, regardless of the number booked in.
