CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABILITY

We are at a pivotal point in the fight against the climate and biodiversity crisis. We want to empower the next generation of conservationists and are providing a collection of learning resources to support educators to discuss the key concepts and messages around climate change and sustainability issues.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference is an annual summit attended by representatives of different nations. The ‘Conference of the Parties’ (COP) is a hugely important forum, where the treaties and agreements made go on to define the course of political action on addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis facing our planet. This is a something that is already of great concern for many young people.

CLIMATE CHANGE INSPIRATION

AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 RAINFORESTS

Using our exclusive resources and step by step guides, you’ll travel around the world with your students to encounter different rainforests and species.  Your pupils will gain an understanding of what it’s like to work in the rainforest as well as a few useful life skills.  Our playful approach using games and code breaking makes learning about the rainforests really fun for everyone.

The mission – to become Conservation Codebreakers to uncover hidden clues and unlock a secret area on our website.

Designed for KS2, many of the resources are adaptable to other age groups.  It can be run across 5 days to create ‘Around the world in 5 rainforests (in 5 days)’ or you might choose to explore one rainforest each week over 5 weeks.

GO WILD: A 5 WEEK LEARNING JOURNEY
(to look after wildlife and ourselves)

A programme of work designed for upper KS2 and KS3, bringing together virtual video content with our learning resources to create an educational journey across 5 weeks or to create a 5 day ‘One Wild Week’.

With a focus on UK native species and wellbeing, we have developed a package that is quick and easy for educators to pick up and run; with activities that fit in to many areas of the curriculum (maths, literacy, history, geography, science) but also offer the wellbeing benefits of getting outdoors, getting active and making a difference.
