KS3 ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR COLLECTION

At Chester Zoo we watch our animals to see how they behave.  We conduct studies called Ethograms to record what they’re doing at different times of day.  This can tell us a lot about our animals’ health and wellbeing.

Using this collection your students will be introduced to the science behind why we study animal behaviour by watching an introduction video from one of our zoo scientists, Veronica Cowl. They can also learn how to and practise doing ethograms at timed intervals, just like we do in the zoo!
