CONSERVATION SCHOLARS

We’re proud to be helping to train the next generation of conservation scientists!

We collaborate with a number of academic institutions to support research students at MSc and PhD level, known as Chester Zoo Conservation Scholars.

Our scholars are working to provide evidence on a range of topics (both at Chester Zoo and in the field) from conservation breeding of plants and amphibians, monitoring wild populations of endangered species, human-wildlife conflict in Africa and South Asia and the wellbeing of zoo populations.
