RUN FOR NATURE AT CHESTER ZOO

Join us on Sunday 22 September 2024 for the Chester Zoo 10k and Kids Mile! Watch this space for more information about when you can enter and the theme for this year’s run.

You’ll run through the zoo before we open to the public, on a 10k route around our zoo estate. Your little ones can get involved too, with a 1 mile ZOOM for under 12s!

This year, the money you raise through taking on our Run for Nature challenge will help save Asian elephants from extinction. We are raising money to develop a vaccine for EEHV, a deadly disease which affects elephants both in zoos and in the wild. We’re the first zoo in the world to develop a vaccine for this disease and every penny you raise will make a huge difference in helping us continue this vital work.

RUN OUR ROUTE WITH A DIFFERENCE

The Chester Zoo 10k and Kids Mile both have flat and fast routes through our zoo estate. Starting in the zoo itself, you’ll then pass fascinating sights like our Conservation Breeding Management Area and where our giraffes’ food is grown.
