You can hire a wheelchair or electric scooter free from Rentals, near the main entrance. We just need a refundable £25 deposit.
Rentals is open every day during our normal opening hours, but please make sure you pre-book as availability of our wheelchairs and scooters is also subject to servicing, repairs and demand. To pre-book or confirm your wheelchair or scooter please email us on guest.services@chesterzoo.org. Please put ‘Mobility’ as the title of your email.
Please note these are subject to availability and booking is essential. We currently have a limited number available due to the new safety measures we have in place therefore we recommend booking early. We only have a small team working therefore it may take us a little longer than usual to get back to you. Thanks for bearing with us.
Our mobility scooters can only be used by those over the age of 17 years and weighing under 26 stone.
To help us keep our wheelchairs and electric scooters ship-shape we have a suggested donation of £10.
