There’s still plenty to look forward to, with Junior Rangers sessions running during school holidays and select weekends right through to November - but places are filling fast.
We’re an Ofsted-registered provider, so eligible families can use Tax-Free Childcare to pay for school holiday activities. See below for how to book using this option.
Weekend clubs
Join our Zoo Rangers for a fun-filled Sunday morning exploring the zoo, connecting with nature, and getting hands-on with wildlife-themed activities.
Session time: Sundays, 9:30am – 12:00pm
Cost: £12 per session

2 day weekday clubs
Join us for two full days of nature-based learning, wildlife exploration and themed activities designed to inspire and empower future conservationists.
Session times: 8:45am – 4:00pm (both days)
Cost: £80 per child

3 day weekday clubs
With more time to explore, our three-day clubs offer a rich mix of outdoor adventures, themed challenges and nature-inspired activities, all led by our expert Zoo Rangers.
Session times: 8:45am – 4:00pm (each day)
Cost: £120 per child

What does a typical day look like?
No two days are ever quite the same, but here’s what a typical holiday club schedule might include:
8:15 – 8:45am: Drop-off at the Conservation Education Hub
9:00 – 11:00am: Explore part of the zoo before opening, themed activities
11:00 – 12:00pm: Games and group challenges in the zoo or hub
12:00 – 1:00pm: Lunch and free play
1:00 – 3:00pm: Wildlife-inspired crafts and creative time
3:00 – 4:00pm: Wrap-up games and reflection activities

If you're eligible, you can use your Tax-Free Childcare account to pay for Junior Rangers Holiday Clubs.
To do this, please email juniormembers@chesterzoo.org with the subject line: Tax-Free Childcare Payment. Include:
- Your child’s name and Tax-Free Childcare reference number
- Your contact number
- Which club(s) you'd like to book
- How many places you’re requesting
We’ll get back to you with information on how to make payment.

Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. School years run from 1 September to 31 August.
