National Conservation Education Awards 2026
Celebrating the achievements of staff and schools across the UK.
We want to recognise those who go above and beyond to educate the next generation about conservation, so we are celebrating conservation success with our 2026 National Conservation Education Awards, celebrating excellence across the whole education sector.
If your staff member, team or school achieved something special during the past couple of years, we want to hear about it! These awards are a fantastic way to celebrate your achievements with colleagues, boost morale and gain wider recognition for your hard work and successes.
There are 4 main award categories, with separate awards for primary and secondary schools. The categories are:
Outstanding Conservation Educator
Do you know of a member of staff who has found an innovative way to teach conservation that helps pupils understand more about the world around them and take conservation action? Then tell us about it! We’re looking for educators who’ve made children excited about saving the world.
Tell us their story.

Outstanding Conservation School
Are you proud of the way your school has sparked a passion for wildlife and conservation in your pupils? Have you been working with the local community to create a culture of conservation? Do all your children love coming to school? Have you changed your curriculum to put the conservation of nature and our planet at its heart?
Tell us your story.

Outstanding Conservation Initiative
Do you know of an innovative project or initiative that has helped pupils understand more about the world around them or work together to achieve conservation action? Then tell us about it! We’d love to hear about all the incredible conservation initiatives your schools have developed.
Tell us your story.

Outstanding Conservation Education Partnership
Do you know an environmental organisation that goes above and beyond to inspire young people, work collaboratively with schools, and champion conservation learning? We want to celebrate environmental organisations who empower teachers, engage communities, and deliver outstanding conservation education.
Tell us their story.
